Chris is Sound Theory’s quintessential Renaissance Man. He provides thoughtful and intricate keyboard work. His background in theater shines through when he takes the spotlight as a lead vocalist. It’s immediately evident how much Chris enjoys performing and connecting with the audience. This creates a captivating and engaging atmosphere. JEFF CODA
Lead Guitar and Vocals
Sound Theory’s guitarist, Jeff Coda, is a true rocker with a rich musical history. Originally from Mississippi, he also lived and performed in Atlanta before settling into Orlando. Jeff’s signature sound—marked by searing solos, intricate slide work, and deep harmonies—seamlessly blends a wide range of styles informed by his diverse background. A veteran touring musician with decades of experience exploring virtually every genre, Jeff draws inspiration from this vast knowledge to write and arrange numerous songs for Sound Theory; he is a founding member and a key contributor to their original music.
TOM COOK
Bass Guitar and Vocals
Atlanta native Tom Cook brings a wealth of experience to Sound Theory. His love for playing music is the driving force behind his continued dedication. He toured the East Coast extensively, opening for numerous national acts and recording first a single and then a full album. After stepping away from the music scene for a time, Tom’s passion drew him back in 2007, and he’s been a fixture in Orlando’s music community since 2013. As Sound Theory’s founding member, Tom’s steady bass lines and behind-the-scenes leadership keep the band moving forward.
MARK BISHOP
Drums
Sound Theory’s drummer, Mark Bishop, brings intense energy and pure fun to every performance. He attacks the kit with wild abandon, knowing that a great show goes hand in hand with the music. A seasoned veteran of the local music scene, Mark has played in several well-known bands and quickly embraced Sound Theory’s style, rocking every show with his dynamic showmanship. His decades of experience and insightful input on original songs add a unique character to their sound.
